Sonic Corp has Colloid Mills for sale right now! We have manufactured a dozen of our 4-inch size Mills ready for delivery right away. These are brand new units priced competitively to move quickly. The Sonic 4 inch RotoMill delivers 10-400 GPH depending on fluid viscosity, gap setting and availability of pressurized inlet feed.
Colloid Mills for Grinding and Deagglomerating
Our Mills are used in the processing of:
- Asphalts
- Bentonite Clay Compounds
- Greases
- Lubricants
- Pigments and Dyes
- Wax Emulsions
Sonic has one of the most robust Colloid Mill designs on the market today with oversized bearing chamber and movable shaft chamber. This makes for a very stable, long running Mill. Same unit allows for single or double flush sealing options without using larger head.
Immediate Delivery of Colloid Mills!
These Mills for sale here are photographed on our factory floor in CT, USA. Sonic is a small manufacturing company located just outside NYC and we have put together 12 of our smaller scale Mills and have them ready for delivery. Because we manufacture mostly customized process systems, we can customize these units for you as well. Here are some options:
- Elevate the frame so units at waist level
- PLC controls
- Inlet Feed Pump for viscous materials or increased throughput
- Double flush seal in same chamber
- Flushing recirc pump and cooling vessel
- Electrical disconnect box or VFD
- Complete carted system
Used Colloid Mills
In addition to the Grinding Mills we recently fabricated we have a few used available for sale with immediate delivery.
- Lab size 2.5 inch
- Pilot size 4 inch

Customized Colloid Mill Systems
Sonic Corp has the ability to custom fabricate our Mills into complete systems. We can provide a full system with Feed Pump, Mill, Seal Flushing System and automated PLC controls. These are in stock and can be adapted to a complete unit within 2-3 weeks time. These units work well in either small-scale production or R&D lab settings, pumping as little as 10 GPH or as much as 400 GPH with pressurized flow via Feed Pump. The systems are fabricated on mobile carts as shown here and connect to either 240 or 460 VAC 3, phase power.
This cart systems includes a small recirc pump for lubricating a flushed seal area. Using something other than the product to lubricate your seal faces is common practice. This is a cleaner solution and guarantees seal functionality regardless of the media being processing. Sonic’s patent-pending Seal Flush System uses a small rotary gear pump and jacketed vessel with instrumentation. Most seal flush systems use a pressurized vessel and certain style seal that helps pump the fluid around. We use a PD pump and create back-pressure with a modulating valve to place pressure upon the seal to keep faces closed and secure regardless of the outside pressure in the process chamber of the Mill.
